Great American Adventure Camp Underway

The Great American Adventure Camp at Arkansas Tech allows international high school students the opportunity to learn about small-town America.

During the upcoming weeks, students will take classes with the English Language Institute on campus and explore the River Valley.

The classes at the English Language Institute are fun-filled and teach students subjects such as poetry, writing, storytelling, technical listening, vocabulary, music and dance.

While attending camp, students enjoy experiencing Arkansas. They plan to attend a Traveler’s baseball game, visit the Clinton Library, go horseback riding in Hot Springs, go to Silver Dollar City and explore Mt. Nebo and Petit Jean State Parks.

“The The Great American Adventure Camp is an excellent opportunity for international high school students, and we hope to continue to attract more students and additional cultures to Arkansas Tech,” Donna Ogle said. Ogle is the coordinator of the English Language Institute.

Camp began Monday and will end July 30. For more information about the English Language Institute, click here.
