Gray Joins Tech as Health Services Director

Arkansas Tech University has hired Becky Gray as its new health services director in the Office of Student Services.

Gray’s appointment was confirmed by the Arkansas Tech Board of Trustees on Thursday, Aug. 16.

A graduate of Arkansas Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, Gray (photographed) earned a Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of Central Arkansas.

Gray holds an Advance Practice Nurse (APN) license from the State of Arkansas and she is a certified family nurse practitioner.

She also holds certification in cardiac pulmonary resuscitation, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support.

“Becky will be available to see students who might have otherwise been referred to a local physician, and she will provide prescriptions for students as appropriate,” said Kristy Stokes, associate dean for student wellness at Arkansas Tech.

Gray’s office is located in the Arkansas Tech Health and Wellness Center at Dean Hall room 126.

The Arkansas Tech Health and Wellness Center staff also includes Heather Stout, who is a registered nurse.

Other services offered by the center include counseling. Tech has two licensed professional counselors — Stokes and Dr. Lori LeBahn — available for students.
