As part of her duties in the new position, she will recruit prospective graduate students to Arkansas Tech, aid the Tech Graduate College in its transition to an electronic thesis format, implement an orientation program for graduate assistants and help graduate students persist to degree completion.

“The new director of graduate support services position will help us recruit and increase enrollment in the Graduate College and better serve our students,” said Dr. Mary Gunter, dean of the Arkansas Tech Graduate College. “Courtney has the experience and the personality necessary to be successful in this new role.”

Mullen previously served as an Arkansas Tech admissions officer from 2008-11. She is a member of the Arkansas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.

A former media correspondent intern at KATV Channel 7 in Little Rock, Mullen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in speech communication and journalism from Arkansas Tech in 2008. She attained a Master of Science degree in college student personnel from Tech earlier this year.
