Dr. Donald Gooch, assistant professor of political science, has been named the 2010-11 Arkansas Tech University student organization advisor of the year for his work with the Pre-Law Society.
Gooch was presented with his award by (middle) Julie Paladino, president of the Pre-Law Society; and (far right) Haley Smith, vice president of the Pre-Law Society.
Gooch has served on the faculty at Arkansas Tech since 2007. American politics and public policy are his primary areas of focus.
A 1998 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, Gooch went on to earn a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas (2001) and a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri (2009).
