Golf tourney Oct. 19 to benefit Logan Co. Single Parent Scholarship Fund

The first ever Logan County Single Parent Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Little Creek Golf Club in Ratcliff.

Proceeds from the tournament, which kicks off at 10 a.m., will be used to award post-secondary scholarships to single parents who are working toward a college degree or professional technical training. Registration for the 18-hole, three-person scramble tournament begins at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 10. The entry fee is $150 for a three-person team. (Cart fee is separate.) Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place flights – $300, $225 and $150. Also, players will have a chance to win a 2013 Ford F-150, and all golfers will be treated to lunch.
