Arkansas Tech captured the women's golf team title at the Southern Arkansas University Invitational for a third consecutive year by winning the 2011 event at Northridge Country Club in Texarkana, Texas, on March 28-29.
The Golden Suns returned team scores of 324 and 318 for a 36-hole total of 642 and a five-stroke victory over runner-up Harding University.
Arkansas Tech's Kyla McIsaac finished as the runner-up in the individual standings. She shot 81-78 for a 159 total. Southern Arkansas' Whitley Patterson won the individual title with rounds of 77-76 and a 36-hole score of 153.
Elizabeth Sweetnam (T-3rd, 80-80-160), Ana Morales (5th, 80-81-161), Niki Possage (T-6th, 83-79-162) and Alyssia Duvall (13th, 91-95-186) also represented the Golden Suns in the event.
