Golden Suns Win By 86

Thirteen Arkansas Tech players scored and 14 Golden Suns logged 10 minutes or more in a 120-34 victory over the Rhema Bible Lady Eagles at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Tuesday night.

Tech established new women’s basketball school records for points in a game and margin of victory (86).

The nationally top-ranked Golden Suns (2-0) used a 15-0 run to open a 29-9 edge with 8:06 remaining in the first half, and the outcome was never in doubt from there.

Natalia Santos led Tech with 18 points. Jenny Vining scored 16 points, while Lindsey Root and Jessica Weatherford both netted 12 points. Samanta Ludwig and Katie Horsman chipped in 10 points apiece.

Arkansas Tech shot 62 percent from the field (48-of-77) and 55 percent from 3-point range (11-of-20). The Golden Suns finished with a 45-15 rebounding edge and Tech forced Rhema (3-3) into 40 turnovers.

Hannah Daniel scored 12 points and Hannah Brim notched 11 points for the Lady Eagles.

The Golden Suns will host Lambuth University for a 4 p.m. non-conference game at Tucker Coliseum on Saturday, Nov. 20.
