Arkansas Tech improved to 10-0 in Great American Conference volleyball play by defeating the Henderson State Lady Reddies 25-23, 25-21, 25-13 at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia on Thursday night.
The Golden Suns (23-3 overall, 10-0 GAC) had a team hitting percentage of .351 and they recorded nine team blocks as they completed a regular season sweep of the Lady Reddies.
Arkansas Tech’s Laura Farney and Kelly O’Malley had 10 kills apiece, while Brittany Ryan made nine kills and a team-high four blocks. Amber Cerrillos notched 32 assists and Brennae Benda recorded 13 digs for the Golden Suns.
Ty Lindberg recorded a match-high 13 kills for Henderson State (4-18, 0-10).
The Golden Suns will host the LaQuinta Inn and Suites Arkansas Tech Classic at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville this weekend.
Tech will face Lindenwood University at 5 p.m. Friday, the University of Sioux Falls at 11 a.m. Saturday and Truman State at 5 p.m. Saturday.
