Arkansas Tech University opened the home and Great American Conference portions of its 2018 volleyball schedule by blitzing Southern Arkansas University 25-9, 25-16, 25-10 at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Tuesday.
The Golden Suns (4-4 overall, 1-0 GAC) amassed 44 kills against seven attack errors, compared to 21 kills and 23 attack errors for the Lady Muleriders (3-6, 0-1).
Mackenzie Eford led Tech’s offensive attack with 15 kills and no errors in 26 total attempts. Amanda Milnick made 34 assists, while Hunter Eshnaur (14 digs) and Meredith Darnell (13 digs) led the Suns’ back row defense.
Arkansas Tech will compete in the GAC/MIAA Crossover on Friday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 8, in Shawnee, Okla.
