Golden Suns Top HSU on Think Pink Night

Nationally 12th-ranked Arkansas Tech University extended its school-record winning streak to 28 matches on Thursday night with a 25-15, 24-26, 25-14, 25-16 Great American Conference victory over Henderson State University at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.

Amanda Milnick led the Golden Suns (28-0 overall, 12-0 GAC) to the win with her second triple-double of the season. The sophomore setter from Tahlequah, Okla., notched 11 kills, 41 assists and 10 digs.

Allie Anderson made a match-high 16 kills for Tech. Tabitha Spray added 13 kills, while Madison Nagel (15 digs) and Hunter Eshnaur (12 digs) led the Suns’ back row defense.

Thursday’s match was “Think Pink” night at Tucker Coliseum. The Golden Suns wore commemorative pink jerseys and partnered with the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation to raise funds for the American Cancer Society in support of breast cancer education and awareness.

Arkansas Tech remained one of three unbeaten teams in NCAA Division II volleyball this season. The others are California Baptist University and Palm Beach Atlantic University.
