Golden Suns to Face Top Seed in Regional

The Golden Suns (25-11) earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament from the Great American Conference by defeating Harding University 25-19, 32-30, 25-17 in the championship match of the GAC Tournament on Saturday. Arkansas Tech will be the lone GAC representative in the 2013 NCAA Division II Volleyball Tournament. The Golden Suns are making their third appearance in the event, having previously earned a berth in the NCAA Division II Volleyball Tournament in 2000 and 2011. Minnesota-Duluth (31-2) earned the automatic bid from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The nationally second-ranked Bulldogs defeated six-time defending NCAA Division II national champion and nationally third-ranked Concordia-St. Paul 25-22, 25-21, 29-27 in the championship match of the NSIC Tournament on Sunday. As the top seed, Minnesota-Duluth will host the NCAA Division II Volleyball Tournament Central Regional at Romano Gymnasium in Duluth.
