The Golden Suns (21-7 overall, 9-1 GAC) defeated UAM 25-14, 25-15, 25-14.
Sara Motsinger notched 12 kills and Carly Florian made 10 kills for Arkansas Tech. Amber Cerrillos had 33 assists and seven digs, while Morgan McKellar chipped in 22 digs. Brittany Ryan and Katie Huff both had four blocks.
Amy Kleypas recorded 11 kills for the Cotton Blossoms (10-19, 4-6).
With the win, the Golden Suns remained one match behind first-place Harding University (21-6, 10-0) in the GAC volleyball standings. Those two teams will meet at Tucker Coliseum for a 7 p.m. league match on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Arkansas Tech will play a pair of home non-conference matches on Thursday, Oct. 25.
The Golden Suns will host Central Baptist at 3 p.m. and Lyon College at 7 p.m. Admission to Tucker Coliseum will be free.
