Golden Suns Slip One Spot to No. 14

Arkansas Tech is ranked 14th in the latest USA Today/ESPN NCAA Division II women’s basketball top 25 poll, which was released by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association on Tuesday, Feb. 14.

The Golden Suns (17-3 overall, 8-3 Great American Conference) have now been ranked in 41 consecutive USA Today/ESPN NCAA Division II top 25 polls.

Arkansas Tech fell one position in the poll this week after going 3-0 last week. The Suns defeated Missouri Western 81-75 on Monday, Feb. 6; Southwestern Oklahoma State 101-87 on Thursday, Feb. 9; and East Central University 86-68 on Saturday, Feb. 11.

Tech’s women have won six consecutive games, and they stand in sole possession of second place in the GAC standings with five regular season contests remaining.

The Golden Suns will visit Southeastern Oklahoma State for a 5:30 p.m. GAC game in Durant, Okla., on Thursday, Feb. 16. Radio station KWKK 100.9 FM will have the broadcast.
