Golden Suns Run at Chile Pepper Festival

Arkansas Tech University finished 24th among the 40 non-NCAA Division I members competing in the women’s college race at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville on Saturday.

Amy Riera (100th, 19:40), Shannon McLaughlin (122nd, 19:59.8), Cami Hedstrom (143rd, 20:15.2), Logan Edwards (154th, 20:26.7), Megan Bradley, 167th, 20:36.2), Mary Simmons (196th, 21:39.1) and Mallory Morris (208th, 21:57.3) contributed to the Golden Suns’ team score.

Arkansas Tech’s Angel Mapp (22:01.6) Adrianna Simmons (22:21.4) and Erika Nava Diaz (22:31.4) also ran in Fayetteville on Saturday.

The Golden Suns will compete in the University of the Ozarks Open in Clarksville on Saturday, Oct. 8.
