Arkansas Tech University dispatched a pair of non-conference volleyball opponents in shutouts at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Tuesday.
The Golden Suns (17-5) defeated Central Baptist College 25-14, 25-13, 25-19 and Lyon College 25-19, 25-11, 25-17 to extend their winning streak to 11 matches.
Haley Owen had 11 kills and Alyssa Kool notched 22 assists in the win over Central Baptist. Madison Nagel contributed 11 digs.
Hunter Eshnaur (17 kills), Sarita Stegall (34 assists, four service aces) and Nagel (14 digs) were among Arkansas Tech’s statistical leaders in the nightcap.
The Golden Suns will return to Great American Conference play at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, with a match in Shawnee, Okla., against Oklahoma Baptist University.
