Arkansas Tech University has maintained the No. 5 position in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division II top 25 softball poll for a third consecutive week.
The Golden Suns (21-2 overall, 13-1 Great American Conference) rank among the national leaders in team batting average (8th, .348), team earned run averge (15th, 1.72), team on-base percentage (13th, .421) and slugging percentage (16th, .502).
They have won 19 of their last 20 games and they stand in second place in the GAC standings, one game behind front-running Southeastern Oklahoma State University (18-6, 14-0).
Arkansas Tech will visit East Central University for a four-game GAC series in Ada, Okla., on Friday, March 18, and Saturday, March 19.
