Arkansas Tech University extended its softball winning streak to nine games by sweeping the University of Arkansas-Monticello at the Chartwells Women’s Sports Complex in Russellville on Friday and Saturday.
The Golden Suns (37-13 overall, 31-7 Great American Conference) defeated the Cotton Blossoms 6-3, 6-3, 12-4 and 9-1 to remain one-half game behind first-place Southern Arkansas University (41-10, 32-7) in the GAC standings.
Arkansas Tech will close out the 2019 regular season by hosting Ouachita Baptist University for a four-game series at the Chartwells Women’s Sports Complex. First pitch is booked for 3 p.m. Friday, April 26, and noon Saturday, April 27.
