Golden Suns Reach Top 10 in Nation

Arkansas Tech University is ranked among the top 10 volleyball teams in NCAA Division II for the first time in school history.

The Golden Suns advanced two spots to No. 10 when the Monday, Oct. 30, edition of the American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division II top 25 poll was released.

Arkansas Tech (28-0 overall, 12-0 Great American Conference) is on the longest winning streak in the history of its volleyball program and off to the best start to a volleyball season in ATU history.

Among the 283 institutions sponsoring NCAA Division II volleyball this season, only two — Arkansas Tech and nationally third-ranked California Baptist University (21-0) — remain undefeated.

The Golden Suns will travel to the University of Arkansas-Monticello for a 6:30 p.m. match on Tuesday, Oct. 31, before returning home to take on Southern Arkansas University at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.

No admission will be charged for the Tech-SAU match.
