Arkansas Tech University advanced one spot in the latest edition of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division II top 25 softball poll.
The Golden Suns (25-2 overall, 17-1 Great American Conference) moved from No. 5 to No. 4 in the national rankings released on March 23. They share the fourth spot with the University of North Alabama (32-4) after both teams received 344 points in the voting.
West Texas A&M University (33-1) is ranked No. 1 in the nation.
The No. 4 national ranking represents the highest position that the Arkansas Tech softball program has ever attained in the NFCA poll.
The Golden Suns will be at home on Friday, March 25, and Saturday, March 26, for a key GAC series with Southeastern Oklahoma State University (19-9, 15-3). First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday.
