Arkansas Tech University kept its hopesĀ of clinching the No. 2 seed in the 2012 Great American Conference Volleyball Tournament alive with a 3-0 victory over the Henderson State Lady Reddies at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia on Tuesday.
The Golden Suns (24-9 overall, 10-3 GAC) defeated the Lady Reddies 26-24, 25-19, 25-14.
Kaitlyn White had 19 kills, while Amber Cerrillos made 39 assists and 11 digs for Arkansas Tech. Brittany Ryan had a team-high three blocks and Morgan McKellar notched a team-high 12 digs for the Suns.
Sarah Williams made nine kills for Henderson State (7-22, 2-11).
Arkansas Tech will face Southern Arkansas (22-9, 11-2) at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, in the regular season finale at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville. Admission will be free.
The winner of the Tech-SAU match will earn the No. 2 seed in the GAC Volleyball Tournament, which is scheduled for Nov. 15-17 at regular season GAC champion Harding University in Searcy.
