Arkansas Tech University will welcome provisional Great American Conference member Southern Nazarene University to Tucker Coliseum in Russellville for a league volleyball match on Friday, Oct. 12, at 6 p.m.

The Golden Suns (17-7 overall, 5-1 GAC) have won eight of their last 10 matches.

Southern Nazarene (8-13, 5-1) is tied with Arkansas Tech for third place in the GAC volleyball standings. Harding (16-6, 6-0) and Southern Arkansas (14-4, 6-0) are setting the early pace in the GAC title chase.

SNU has struggled on the road this season. The Crimson Storm is 6-1 inside the Sawyer Center in Bethany, Okla., but Southern Nazarene is just 2-12 away from home.

Southern Nazarene is in year two of a three-year period as a provisional member of the Great American Conference. Volleyball matches against SNU and the league’s other provisional member, Northwestern Oklahoma State, count in the GAC standings this year. SNU and NWOSU are ineligible to win the conference title or advance to NCAA postseason play this season.

Arkansas Tech has won 31 of its last 33 home volleyball matches.
