Golden Suns Finish Fifth in Oklahoma

Arkansas Tech University’s Anna Frandsen fired rounds of 73-73 for a 146 total and a share of third place in the final individual standings at the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Kickingbird Golf Course in Edmond, Okla.

The Golden Suns finished fifth among a field of 13 teams with a 36-hole team score of 617. Tech shot 316-301.

The University of Central Oklahoma won the team title. The Bronchos returned team scores of 314-291 for a 605 total.

Jessica Sachs (T-19th, 79-77-156), Pia Nunbhakdi (22nd, 80-77-157), Avery Struck (T-27th, 85-74-159) and Caroline Fredensborg (T-38th, 84-78-162) contributed to the Suns’ team score.

Arkansas Tech’s Holly Standing (T-27th, 83-76-159) competed as an individual.

The Golden Suns will participate in the Barry University Women’s Invitational in Miami, Fla., March 27-28.
