Arkansas Tech University placed fifth among a field of 15 teams at the 2015 University of Central Oklahoma RCB Classic, which was played on Monday and Tuesday at par-71 Lincoln Park East Golf Course in Oklahoma City.
The Golden Suns posted team scores of 289-308 for a 36-hole team score of 597. Northeastern State University won the team title with a two-day total of 580.
Anna Frandsen was the Arkansas Tech’s top individual finisher. She returned scores of 72-73 for a 145 total and sole possession of seventh place in the individual standings.
Pia Nunbhakdi (T-12th, 72-75-147), Avery Struck (T-26th, 73-79-152), Caroline Fredensborg (T-34th, 72-81-153) and Laura Gallizo (T-54th, 77-82-159) also contributed to the Golden Suns’ team score in Oklahoma City.
Arkansas Tech’s Jessica Sachs finished tied for 15th while competing as an individual. She shot 76-72 for a 148 total.
The Golden Suns will participate in the Great American Conference Preview on Monday, Oct. 12, and Tuesday, Oct. 13, in Oklahoma City.
