Arkansas Tech University earned a 25-23, 25-23, 25-20 victory over Missouri Southern State University to highlight its trip to the volleyball season-opening Peggy Martin Challenge in Warrensburg, Mo., on Friday and Saturday.
The Golden Suns, who opened the event by dropping a four-set match to tournament host University of Central Missouri on Friday afternoon, bounced back on Friday evening to defeat Missouri Southern.
Amanda Milnick had 30 assists and 14 digs in the victory.
Drury University topped Tech in four sets and Truman State University earned a straight sets win over the Golden Suns on Saturday.
Arkansas Tech (1-3) will return to action on Friday, Aug. 31, and Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Holiday Inn Express Classic in Cleveland, Tenn.
