Golden Suns Earn Road Win at UAM

Arkansas Tech University’s Hunter Eshnaur registered a season-high 18 kills to lead the Golden Suns to a 28-26, 25-20, 25-22 Great American Conference volleyball win over the University of Arkansas-Monticello at Steelman Fieldhouse in Monticello on Thursday night.

Eshnaur, the reigning GAC offensive player of the week, made just four attack errors in 38 attempts to finish the match with a .368 hitting percentage.

Lauren Rodemers added 10 kills, two solo blocks and three block assists for Arkansas Tech. Sarah Rosinke made 19 assists and Amanda Milnick had 16 assists for the Golden Suns (9-7 overall, 4-1 GAC), while Madison Nagel contributed 14 digs.

Shay Mitchell was credited with 11 kills for the Cotton Blossoms (3-12, 1-4).

Arkansas Tech will host St. Edward’s University for a 3 p.m. non-conference match at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Friday, Sept. 30.
