Golden Suns Dominate Lady Bisons 95-68

All five starters reached double figures in scoring as the nationally 13th-ranked Arkansas Tech Golden Suns breezed past the Harding Lady Bisons 95-68 at Rhodes Field House in Searcy on Saturday night.

The Golden Suns (16-0 overall, 3-0 Gulf South Conference) went on an early 27-6 run to take a 31-12 lead with nine minutes left in the first half.

Arkansas Tech was in control the rest of the way as it improved upon what was already the best start to a season in Golden Suns’ history.

Jenny Vining led the way for Tech with 19 points, five assists and five steals. Jessica Weatherford matched her career high with 17 points, Natalia Santos and Katie Horsman had 14 points apiece and Laura Beth Anderson notched 11 points.

Bailey St. Clair led Harding (8-7, 1-2) with 18 points.

The Golden Suns will visit Ouachita Baptist for a 6 p.m. game at Arkadelphia on Thursday.
