Arkansas Tech University finished sixth among a field of 15 women’s golf teams at the UIndy Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, Ind.
The Golden Suns posted team scores of 308-305 for a 36-hole total of 613. Tournament host University of Indianapolis won the team title with a two-day score of 588.
Tech’s Peerada Piddon fired rounds of 75-74 for a 5-over par total of 149 and a share of seventh place in the individual standings.
Pia Nunbhakdi (T-22nd, 78-75-153), Avery Struck (T-32nd, 75-80-155), Holly Standing (T-35th, 80-76-156) and Allie Weiner (T-78th, 93-83-176) also contributed to the Golden Suns’ team score.
Arkansas Tech’s Makenzie Douglas (T-58th, 82-82-164) competed as an individual.
The Golden Suns will return to action Sept. 25-26 at the Western New Mexico University Fall Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Ariz.
