Golden Suns 7th at GAC Championships

Arkansas Tech University finished in seventh place among 11 teams in the women’s team standings at the 2016 Great American Conference Cross Country Championships, which were contested on Saturday at Silverado Golf Course in Durant, Okla.

East Central University won the team championship. The individual title went to ECU sophomore Anna Mora, who completed the 5-kilometer course in 17 minutes, 56.4 seconds.

Cami Hedstrom (36th, 20:05.4), Megan Bradley (43rd, 20:16.2), Shannon McLaughlin (50th, 20:28.2), Amy Riera (53rd, 20:30.3), Logan Edwards (54th, 20:34.7), Mallory Morris (57th, 20:55.2), Angel Mapp (62nd, 21:02.9), Kami Ward (74th, 21:22.4), Erika Nava Diaz (93rd, 22:30.9), Adrianna Simmons (97th, 23:53.5) and Reagan Smith (102nd, 23:53.5) represented the Golden Suns at the GAC Championships.

Arkansas Tech is scheduled to run in the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships on Saturday, Nov. 5, in Sioux Falls, S.D.
