The Arkansas Tech University Office of Admissions is hosting a video contest for incoming freshmen in conjunction with National College Decision Day 2022.
The contest is entitled #Going2ATU. In order to enter, incoming ATU freshman for fall 2022 should record a video of 60 seconds or less and post it to Instagram and tag @Go2ATU with #Going2ATU.
Videos will be judged for wow factor, creativity and originality. Videos must be submitted between Sunday, May 1, and 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 8.
First place will earn a $1,500 scholarship to ATU. The second-place entry will receive a $1,000 scholarship and third place will be recognized with a $500 scholarship.
Contestants must be graduating seniors and admitted as first-time entering undergraduates on the Russellville campus of Arkansas Tech to be considered.
Additional contest rules and details are available at www.atu.edu/admissions/going2atu.php.
National College Decision Day provides students with an opportunity to officially and publicly commit to the university of their choice.
“We want to encourage students to be excited, announce they will be attending ATU and continue their next steps of enrollment, including scholarship acceptance, making their advising appointment, finalizing plans for housing and filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid,” said Meredith Jones Lawson, associate director for recruitment in the ATU Office of Admissions.
Incoming ATU students who choose to post a photograph to social media announcing their commitment to Arkansas Tech may utilize the hashtag #CollegeDecisionDay.
