Arkansas Tech University’s R.J. Glasper collected the final Great American Conference men’s basketball player of the week award for the 2017-18 season on Monday, Feb. 26.
A redshirt freshman guard from Forrest City, Glasper averaged 25.3 points, six rebounds and five assists per game last week while leading the Wonder Boys (18-10) to wins over Harding University, Ouachita Baptist University and the University of Arkansas-Monticello.
With those three wins, Arkansas Tech clinched the No. 5 seed in the men’s GAC Tournament. The Wonder Boys will face No. 4 seed Southeastern Oklahoma State University (14-13) for a first-round game at Bruin Fieldhouse in Bartlesville, Okla., on Friday, March 2. The opening tip is scheduled for noon.
