Arkansas Tech University has scheduled two events that will be open to the public and designed to generate conversation about the forthcoming development of North El Paso Avenue between campus and Russellville Downtown.
First will be a tour of North El Paso Avenue departing from The Corner (formerly Taco Villa) at 1122 N. El Paso Ave. at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
From 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, Arkansas Tech will host a visioning exercise for North El Paso Avenue at its College of eTech facility at 715 N. El Paso Ave.
Both activities will focus on gaining participant feedback that will be used to inform decisions about the future of North El Paso Avenue.
“Through this process, a unified vision for El Paso will begin to take shape,” said Arkansas Tech President Dr. Robin E. Bowen. “The opportunity to create a new dynamic for how the campus and the community are connected will leave an indelible mark on Russellville. We need and want ideas from our constituents on what they would like to see on El Paso, be that recreation spaces, restaurants, housing, offices or shops.”
Individuals with ideas for the development of North El Paso Avenue are encouraged to share them on social media using the hashtag #ExperienceElPaso.
