Get a Meal Prep Assist from Hospitality Students

The facility at 404 North El Paso Avenue in Russellville is the temporary home of the Arkansas Tech University Department of Parks, Recreation and Hospitality Administration.

Students from the Arkansas Tech University hospitality program are launching a new series of take and prepare meals that will be available to the public.

The first meal in the series will be a make your own pizza. Dough, toppings and directions for how to assemble and bake will be provided, as will instructions for how to make the dough in case participants want to repeat the process in the future.

Cost for each pizza kit will be $10, and the deadline to order is noon on Friday, Sept. 25. Send e-mail to eaulgur@atu.edu or call (479) 968-0378 to reserve one or more kits.

Interested parties are asked to indicate if they wish to reserve pepperoni, cheese or vegetarian pizza kits and how many of each kit they would like.

The pizza kits will be available for pick-up from 5-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 404 N. El Paso Ave. in Russellville.

Subsequent “make your own” events will allow participants to obtain ingredients and directions for such items as cookies, burgers, Oreo balls and pudding. The series will continue into November.

The series is a project of the catering and events class in the ATU Department of Parks, Recreation and Hospitality Management.
