The Arkansas Tech University German program will host Oktoberfest Friday, October 26 at the Hindsman Bell Tower and Dean Hall lawn.
Oktoberfest is a German cultural event that is provided for area high school students to teach them about German speaking countries, the German program at Tech, as well as to show them that learning the German language is fun and easy.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. and last until 1 p.m. with the students rotating through four stations.
Stations included: Oktoberfest crafts, German computer games, an Oktoberfest PowerPoint presentation and German dance, and Oktoberfest chocolate eating competition. Students will also be able to compete in a barrel relay competition.
To further enhance the German festivities Chartwells Cafeteria will be serving German cuisine for the students to complete their German experience for the day.
