German Day is Friday

This Friday, students at Arkansas Tech will be celebrating the second annual German Day to raise awareness of the German language.

Professors and students of German language within The Department of the Foreign Language will be hosting the event from 10 a.m.-1 p.m, with lunch at noon.

Additionally, more than 60 area high school students with some background in German classes are expected to attend the event. The students will learn about the German language and culture through food and games like charades and trivia.

The event will also include crafts, such as face painting and making clay hedgehogs.

Chartwells will be serving a German meal at the cafeteria for German Day, including German sausage chowder, lentil soup, German cucumber salad, bratwurst, German chocolate cake and plum streusel slices.
