Gallery Talk Thursday Afternoon at Norman Hall

The Arkansas Tech University Department of Art will host a gallery talk with artist Leticia Bajuyo on Thursday, Sept. 14.

The event will begin at 2:30 p.m. in Norman Hall Art Gallery, 203 West Q Street on the ATU campus in Russellville. Admission will be free and open to the public.

The gallery talk with coincide with the closing of Bajuyo’s “Wistful Wonderment” exhibit at Norman Hall.

Bajuyo is an interdisciplinary artist and object maker based in Oklahoma. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame and her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Tennessee.

In fall 2022, Bajuyo joined the University of Oklahoma School of Visual Arts faculty. Prior to her professorship in Norman, she served as associate professor at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, visiting assistant professor in sculpture at the University of Notre Dame and professor of art at Hanover College.

Bajuyo has previously displayed solo exhibits at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo., the Beatrice M. Haggerty Gallery in Dallas, Texas, Beeville Art Museum in Beeville, Texas, Hall Art Gallery at Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. and Rudolph Blume Fine Art/ArtScan Gallery in Houston, Texas.
