Arkansas Tech University graduate Cathryn Gaines has been named the Arkansas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Teacher of the Year.
Gaines received the honor at the Arkansas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Conference in Little Rock earlier this month.
Gaines graduated from Arkansas Tech in 2008 with a degree in Health and Physical Education, and she is licensed in teaching and coaching. She is in her third year working at Center Valley Elementary school in Russellville.
