Arkansas Tech University’s Josh Watkins was named Great American Conference baseball player of the week on Monday, March 28.
Watkins, a senior from Hope Hull, Ala., was 7-for-13 with three home runs, six runs batted in and six runs scored during the Wonder Boys’ three-game series at Southeastern Oklahoma State University on Friday and Saturday.
Arkansas Tech (14-19 overall, 7-11 GAC) will host the University of Arkansas-Monticello for a three-game GAC series at Tech Field in Russellville on Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2.
First pitch is set for 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday. Radio station KCAB 97.1 FM/980 AM and www.arkansastechsports.com will have live coverage.
