Fusaro Presented With Tyler Teaching Award

Dr. Marc Fusaro, assistant professor of economics at Arkansas Tech University, was presented with the Thomas P. Tyler Excellence in Teaching Award during the 22nd annual College of Business Awards Program at Chambers Cafeteria East Banquet Hall on Tuesday, April 26.

Fusaro (photographed, middle) became a member of the Arkansas Tech faculty in 2009. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Scranton in 1996 and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 2004.

Dr. Tom Tyler, namesake of the award, presented Fusaro with his honor.

Tyler (photographed, right) retired from Arkansas Tech in summer 2010 following 43 years of service on the College of Business faculty. He served as dean of the Arkansas Tech College of Business and received the title professor emeritus of economics from Arkansas Tech in March 2011.

During the award presentation, Tyler described Fusaro as “an excellent teacher, a very good mentor, an exuberant instructor and an excellent role model for his students.”
