A full field of 108 Arkansas Tech University alumni and friends will play in the Homecoming Golf Classic at Russellville Country Club today.
Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Arkansas Tech Alumni Association Scholarship, which was awarded to eight Tech freshmen this fall. “The Homecoming Golf Classic is a great event because it brings alumni and friends together for an enjoyable day that creates opportunities for the next generation of the Tech family,” said Angela Bonds, director of alumni relations. “So many of us benefited from scholarships during our time as students at Tech, and it is wonderful to see the way that our alumni and friends have supported this event and this cause over the years.”
The tournament is a three-person scramble. Dan Lovelady, Jimmy Cunningham and Robby Chenowith (photographed, from left-to-right) fired a 13-under par score of 58 to win the 2009 Arkansas Tech Homecoming Golf Classic by a single shot over the team of Tommy Hindsman, Randy Adkins and Beau Dollar.
