Steve Fryer, Arkansas Tech University alumnus and executive director of global guest services for Disney Consumer Products, will give a presentation as part of the Norman Lecture Series at his alma mater on Thursday, Oct. 13.

Fryer will offer a lecture entitled "Your Life Journey: No Limits, No Regrets" from 7-8 p.m. in Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center room 300. Admission will be free and open to the public.

A native of Russellville, Fryer graduated from Arkansas Tech in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He was a four-year letterman in tennis for the Wonder Boys and received the Alfred J. Crabaugh Award as the most outstanding senior male student at Tech.

After teaching at Russellville High School for four years, Fryer was accepted to Harvard Law School. He earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1986.

Fryer has been employed by the Walt Disney Company since 1995, including the past 10 years in his current role. In 2011, Fryer received the Spirit of Disney Award. It is the highest honor bestowed upon cast members by The Walt Disney Company.

The Norman Lecture Series is made possible through the generosity of the children of Arkansas Tech alumni Robert and Sandra Norman of Tulsa, Okla.
