Hundreds of freshmen packed the student organization fair at Arkansas Tech University on Tuesday afternoon.
During the fair, freshmen could talk with representatives from the more than 100 organizations on the Tech campus.
Cindy Tesch, coordinator of Greek life & student organizations, says the fair is an annual tradition at Arkansas Tech. She added, “We’ve been hosting this event for several years. It’s a great way for freshmen to learn about the student organizations and meet some of the upperclassmen at Arkansas Tech.”
As part of the fair, the various student groups are competing to create the best display. This year the Chinese Student Association took home top honors for the best display. Surface finished in second place, while EMAT took home third place.
The student groups receiving honorable mentions included Church of Christ Student Center, Students in Free Enterprise and Up ‘Til Dawn.
