Free tutoring for math, English

student_successIf Ozark Campus students need tutoring in math or English composition, the Student Success Center (SSC) is the place to go.

SSC Coordinator Mike Bogue said, “Of the students who used the SSC last year, 95 percent said they would recommend our tutoring to a friend.”

SSC, located in the Technology and Academic Support building, Room 140, offers free tutoring in Beginning and Intermediate Algebra on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

College Algebra tutoring is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition, SSC’s math tutors can help with Technical Math I and II.

Regarding Foundational Composition, Composition I and Composition II, tutoring is provided Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“The caliber of our tutors – Deanna, Charlotte, Sarah and Charlie – is second to none,” Bogue said. “They know what they’re doing, have the grades to prove it and can help students academically excel.”

In addition to day hours, this semester SSC will offer algebra tutoring on Monday and Thursday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m.
