Final Orientation Session Friday

The final orientation session for transfer and non-traditional students enrolling in classes this fall is taking place on Friday.

The Office of Student Services is hosting the session Friday at 8:30 a.m. in the Doc Bryan Student Services Building Lecture Hall.

As part of the session, students will learn about the services that are available to assist students in their academic endeavors.

Jaime Martin, coordinator of orientation, says the session will also help answer questions that are specific to transfer and non-traditional students.  She explains, “Through this orientation we hope to specifically address the needs and questions that those students who are transferring or are non-traditional students may have about attending classes at Arkansas Tech.”

Tech officials say they hope the session will serve as a resource for students, so they know where to turn if they have a question or a problem during their time at Arkansas Tech.

This is the first time Arkansas Tech has offered an orientation session for transfer and non-traditional students, and organizers say they’ve been pleased with the response.

Following the orientation session, students will have the opportunity to visit with Tech personnel and tour the campus.
