FBLA Members Find the "Gateway to Greatness"

More than 1,500 high school FBLA members and their advisors are gathering at Arkansas Tech’s Tucker Coliseum today for the District V Fall Leadership Conference.

The theme this year is “Gateway to Greatness,” and those in attendance heard a keynote message from Dr. Brenda Caldwell, President/CEO of Dr. B Empowerment.

The students also heard messages and updates from the district officers, advisors and representatives from March of Dimes, Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Additionally, students will compete in Battle of the Chapters, a competition in which schools select representatives to answer FBLA trivia. Later today, they will find out which schools have won the Cover Design Awards for designing a program cover.

Dr. Linda Bean helped to organize the conference and Dr. Ed Bashaw, dean of the College of Business, welcomed everyone and addressed the students regarding the Arkansas Tech College of Business.

Future Business Leaders of America is a national vocational student organization for students in high schools and middle schools who are interested in business or business education careers.  Learn more about FBLA.
