Personnel in the Arkansas Tech University Office of Facilities Management (FAMA) have initiated a new environmentally-friendly practice that allows them to make use of tree waste on campus.
As the seasons begin to turn toward winter, FAMA personnel are taking downed limbs and other tree waste that have been collected during the autumn and converting them into mulch that will be used around trees and in flower beds on campus.
