Fall Dinner Series Begins Thursday at LPCC

The fall 2018 dinner series hosted by the Arkansas Tech University Department of Parks, Recreation and Hospitality Administration will begin on Thursday, Sept. 27, at Lake Point Conference Center.

The dinner series, which is typically held at Williamson Hall Dining Room, is moving to Lake Point Conference Center this autumn in order to accommodate renovations being performed at Williamson Hall.

Mike Merle will serve as guest chef for the first dinner event of fall 2018.

Merle is a native of Columbus, Ohio, and a former student in the ATU hospitality program. He graduated with honors from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., and has served as head chef at The Town Club in Fort Smith. He helped open Legacy Grill in Fort Smith and is working as a consultant in the food industry.

A reception will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, while banquet style seating will take place from 5:30-7 p.m. Cost is $25 per person (plus tax).
