Faculty and staff on the Arkansas Tech campus are learning more about how to help incoming freshmen succeed in college.
Faculty who are teaching the Tech 1001 orientation course this fall are meeting tomorrow to prepare for the course.
The Tech 1001 class is one of three orientation options offered for entering freshmen, and freshmen at Arkansas Tech are required to enroll in an orientation course during their first year at Tech.
During the Tech 1001 course, students learn more about topics freshmen typically experience their first semester of college, and some of the topics discussed throughout the course include time management, study skills and ways to get connected to the Arkansas Tech campus.
The class also includes a section on Arkansas Tech history, traditions and spirit.
This is the fourth year Arkansas Tech has offered the Tech 1001 course.
