Faculty Hear from Tech President

 

Arkansas Tech University formally marked the start of the 2012-13 academic year during its general faculty meeting on Friday.

The meeting, which was held in the Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center, began the 103rd academic session at Arkansas Tech University.

During Friday’s meeting, Tech President, Dr. Robert C. Brown, discussed the upcoming academic year.  Brown reminded the faculty of the progress Arkansas Tech has made in previous years and encouraged the faculty to continue their efforts to make Arkansas Tech’s future bright.

As part of the meeting, Susie Nicholson, vice president for Student Services; Mary Gunter, dean of the Graduate College; Shauna Donnell, assistant vice president for enrollment management; and Yasu Onodera, director of the International and Multicultural Student Services Office addressed the faculty about the students who would be attending this fall.

Following the faculty meeting, a luncheon recognizing new Arkansas Tech faculty and staff took place in Tucker Coliseum.
