Two Arkansas Tech University freshmen are among the Great American Conference volleyball player of the week selections announced on Monday, Nov. 2.
Hunter Eshnaur of Russellville is the GAC offensive player of the week, while Sarita Stegall of Fort Smith is the GAC setter of the week.
Eshnaur (photographed, left) notched 38 kills, 23 digs and six service aces in victories over Williams Baptist College, Bacone College and Henderson State University last week.
Stegall (photographed, right) appeared in two matches last week and made 91 assists. Her 53 assists against Williams Baptist marked the fourth time this season that she has recorded 50 or more assists in a match.
This marks the second GAC offensive player of the week award for Eshnaur. Stegall collected her third consecutive GAC setter of the week honor. It was her fifth such award in the last seven weeks.
The Golden Suns (22-5 overall, 12-0 GAC) have won 16 consecutive matches and have already clinched the No. 1 seed in the 2015 GAC Tournament.
Arkansas Tech will visit the University of Arkansas-Monticello on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and host Southern Arkansas University on Thursday, Nov. 5. Both matches are scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
