Enjoy Moments of “Serenity” from ATU Symphonic Band

The Arkansas Tech University Symphonic Band will perform a concert entitled “Serenity” at Witherspoon Auditorium on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission will be free and open to the public.

Pieces scheduled for performance are “Prelude, Siciliano and Rondo” by Malcolm Arnold, “Fanfare and Allegro” by Clifton Williams, “Riff Raff” by Ryan George and “Serenity” by Ola Gjeilo.

Dr. Daniel A. Belongia, professor of music and director of bands, and Dr. Jim Daughters, instructor of music education and associate director of bands, serve as conductors for the ATU Symphonic Band.

The ATU Symphonic Band is comprised primarily of music majors, but is open to students of all majors by audition. The group performs two concerts per semester.
